La Vista Mexican Restaurant

The Authentic Mexican Fiesta has arrived in Hong Kong

La Vista has become the most exciting Mexican restaurant in Hong Kong, and it’s not just the vibrant Mexican food but the extraordinary cocktails and Mexico’s characteristic laid-back festive ambiance.

With impressive views of Lantau Island’s Tung Chung, La Vista is now a hot spot for locals and tourists looking for an authentic take on Mexican cuisine, from tacos to margaritas — but that’s just the beginning.

In the Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel, at Lantau’s most energetic commercial hub, La Vista offers scenic sea views not dissimilar to the warm Mexican shores. In such a perfect stage, there’s nothing better than having breakfast, lunch or dinner with Mexican inspiration.

Before getting into details, we should mention La Vista is not only an authentic hub for Mexican food — it’s a delightful restaurant altogether! For a shot of Tequila, a cold beer and a bowl of crispy tortilla chips with fresh tomato salsa, grab a spot in the state-of-the-art bar, the focal point in la Vista’s rustic but upscale indoor dining room.

Wood, copper and the most gorgeous sapphire blue are everywhere, in the tiled walls and the comfy booths, in the bar stools too! Then you step outside to the awe-inspiring terrace where the Southern Chinese Sea greets you and invites you to have a cold Cerveza.

To better experience the best Mexican food in Hong Kong, you must get into character, which means understanding what it means to go out for a Mexican meal.

The Secret is in the Authenticity

There’s a reason there aren’t many Mexican restaurants in Hong Kong. Getting it right takes months of research! You want to get that chunky tomato sauce right, and you want those cheese quesadillas stringy and melty. There’s more to a burrito than you could ever imagine and let’s not get started with the Mexican desserts. Did someone say churros?

This is La Vista, and now you know why it serves the best Mexican food in Hong Kong. It’s the Mexican passion that can’t be faked, and you can taste it in every dish from starters to dessert.

Authentic Mexican cuisine is a given, whether you just come by for a Margarita and some nachos or visit to make the most of the Taco Tuesday specialties. Come to La Vista’s for prime location and glorious views, return for the food. Book your table today!

A Sneak-peak at La Vista Menu, the Best Mexican Food in Hong Kong

As with all Mexican meals, it all starts with friends and family around the table which means a round of drinks! A shot of Tequila might sound like a rough way to start the night, but it will get the conversation started and break the ice. There’re always cold Mexican lager beers to quench your thirst while you admire the unique views from La Vista’s terrace.

Margaritas are more than one drink; they’re a white canvas for creativity, and what all colorful beverages have in common is that they’re deliciously sweet, boozy and infused with the Mexican spirit.

By the way, don’t miss out on La Vista’s Thirsty Thursdays for the best tropical drinks in town.

Then comes the food, and no Mexican meal is complete without an array of starters to share. Crackly empanadas filled with anything from mushrooms and cheese to spicy chorizo sausage, these are two-biters you’ll want to share.

If you’re into traditional Mexican cuisine, then the Pozole is a must. A corn and pork stew with deep roots going back to the ancient Aztecs! You might not know this, but the famous Caesar Salad was created in Mexico, specifically in the world’s most famous border town, Tijuana.

Finally, there’s the king of Mexican starters or ‘Entradas.’ The guacamole. Chopped avocados tossed with ripe tomatoes, crispy onions, cilantro and a drizzle of fresh lime juice. Served with crispy tortilla chips, what’s not to love?

Let’s start with a classic

Street corn cooked to tender perfection and smothered in a smoky and spicy chipotle mayo. Then you have the cheesy quesadillas. Who knew a folded tortilla could become such a decadent meal? Stuffed with a wide variety of food, from stringy Oaxaca cheese to tender beef strips, this is comfort food at its finest.

Feeling hungry? Then a tightly tucked burrito is just what you need. Served with guacamole and sour cream, the secret is in the filling — whether it’s spicy pastor meat or meaty portobello, these are the best burritos in Asia, guaranteed.

The Chefs at La Vista might be Mexican food experts, but they’re also all about Sheraton’s world-renowned quality. Here they make the colorful Mexican fajitas with USDA Top Choice rib-eye, elevating the traditional dish to new heights. It comes without saying everything is fresh and of the highest quality, from the fruit and veggies to the prawns and the freshly caught fish.

Talking about fish, if you want a taste of Mexico’s blue shores and imagine yourself with your feet buried in the white sand, then the fish taco is a must. Beer battered and topped with crispy onions and salsa; this is the taste of the Mexican Caribbean right here.

A Sweet Ending

At La Vista, long hours of after-dinner conversation and laughter are encouraged. Margaritas and beer will keep you company until midnight. This might also be the right time to try one of Mexico’s most heartwarming desserts — the churros. Made to order, the crackling sugar-coated churros are served with chocolate sauce for everyone to grab a bite and end the night on a high note.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food at La Vista- it’s difficult to find genuinely fresh and authentic Mexican food in Hong Kong. The welcoming ambience and the charming staff makes the place perfect for weekend brunches as well as date nights. As for food, the tacos (prawns and beef) definitely stood out as well as the fruity mocktails. The price is reasonable and you will get a picturesque view of the sunset. Will definitely visit again!

A great Mexican restaurant located in the courtyard of the newly develop Tung Chung Sheraton Hotel. This is a great place to bring your friends and family just because of the vibes and atmosphere alone. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and you’re allowed to smoke in the outdoor seating area. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have eaten in Hong Kong so far, the food were all very flavorful, juicy, tender, and every bite was an occasion.

Best Mexican food this side of Mexico. Everything is fresh no shortcuts, none of that canned salsa others serve. Great location with an outdoor patio that can’t be beat.
